Gillian trained at Cambridge University and has taught in Primary and Secondary schoolsettings. She has worked in the USA, South, Africa, Germany and France. Her experiencehas predominantly been with multi-lingual children in the UK. She was a senior teacher with responsibility for English, and a Deputy Headteacher in a school in West London. She became a Literacy Consultant and then Literacy Advisory for a Local Education Authority. Inthese roles she supported and developed the teaching of Literacy and Modern Foreign Languages cross Primary and Secondary schools. Her present position is Online Manager and Education Consultant for  Roaming Schoolhouse.
